EnerCoop Uelzechtdall

EnerCoop Uelzechtdall is an energy cooperative founded by citizens with the aim of promoting the energy transition.

Initiative phase: Well established and running

The cooperative aims to actively shape the energy transition by developing and implementing projects for the generation, storage, purchase and sale of renewable energy.

It also offers information exchange, advice and support on issues of renewable energy production and energy efficiency.

At the moment, the cooperative has around 180 members. The cooperative is organised on a grassroots democratic basis. Each member has one vote at the general meeting, regardless of the number of shares, and can thus actively participate in the cooperative's activities.

So far, the cooperative has installed two photovoltaic systems and produces enough electricity to cover the annual consumption of 210 people.
