Naturbaustoff is an initiative of Marc Neu, who has been active in the alternative energy sector for 25 years and was an energy consultant for many years. Over this period, he realised that he could not understand the traditional way of building, especially when it comes to so-called "sustainable" building. Therefore, Marc Neu's building philosophy is based on loam and straw houses, which are supposed to make real sustainable building possible.
The range of building materials guarantees high quality for a good living climate, as well as as as little waste as possible.
Naturbaustoff also supports the regional economy with Beki.
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm.

The aim of the eco-shop is to enable healthy living in buildings made of natural and sustainable building materials.
It also aims to promote the use of reusable and recyclable materials, as they avoid construction waste and rubble when the building is demolished at the end of its lifespan
Target audience
The offer is aimed at anyone who wants to live and build sustainably, but especially at those who are looking for affordable housing in Luxembourg. By using straw construction, you can do a lot yourself and reduce the living space to the bare minimum. In this way, you can build very beautiful buildings without incurring large debts.
Challenges and learning successes
It is always difficult to gain a foothold with alternative projects. Moreover, the work is very consultative and time-consuming, but it was with awareness that the project was started. It takes energy to give thorough and tailored advice on any project. However, the demand is also motivating.
