Pupils' representative for environmental issues
One student from each class is chosen to be responsible for sustainability in the class.
Initiative phase: Well established and runningAt the beginning of the school year, an environmental officer is appointed in the class. She or he has the task of getting her or his classmates to sort the rubbish (paper, plastic bottles, cans, ...) into the various rubbish bins. She will make sure that the lights are switched off whenever they are dispensable and especially when the students leave the classroom. She will also ensure that the rooms are adequately ventilated (turn down thermostats on radiators before opening the window). In order to perform her duties well, the pupil representative:in will be trained by a responsible teacher.
