Transition Minett was founded in 2011 with the aim of preparing today's society for an oil-free world tomorrow. The organisation's philosophy is based on the assumption that every human being, through creative action and their own abilities, is capable of overcoming the challenges of climate change and the resulting social and economic crises.
This is based on networking the forces and talents that lie dormant in our society through actions on the ground with local actors.
At the local level, Transition Minett runs Mesa, the Transition House, urban gardening projects, various consumer actions, the green energy cooperative TM Enercoop and various workshops on sustainability. Transition Minett also initiated and coordinates the Citizens for Climate Collective.

The individual projects of Transition Minett are always looking for volunteer support. Especially Mesa, the Transition house, always needs helping hands.
There is also the possibility of doing voluntary service with the organisation.
Transition Minett, like many other non-profit organisations, continues to rely on financial support. An annual membership provides financial support to Transition Minett and thus to the individual local projects. As a member of Transition Minett, one can use Mesa as well as take advantage of individual workshop offers.
