Suessem schmaacht
Making private home gardens available to the CIGL Sanem for the cultivation of vegetables.
Initiative phase: Well established and runningThe respective owner makes his garden available and concludes a contract with the CIGL Sanem. In this way, for example, it is jointly regulated what is to be cultivated. This is because the necessary operation in the garden depends on the care required for the crop planted. This also determines the desired social contact. Here, access to the garden is to be regulated as a matter of priority and the sharing of the harvest is to be clarified.
The garden can be run by different groups. Organic cultivation without synthetic fertilisers or pesticides is guaranteed. In the first phase, the environmental agency is the direct contact. Companies can also make their outdoor areas available for the cultivation of vegetables or the planting of fruit trees. The environmental office of the municipality of Sanem pays for the plants as part of the Sustainable Vegetable Gardens Master Plan. The water is provided by the garden owner. The garden owner thus also determines the distribution of the harvest
